"Feeding the Multitude"

In the Gospel of John, chapter 6, verse 9, a powerful statement is made: "There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish. But what are they among so many people?" This passage speaks to the miracle that unfolded, where those humble loaves and fish fed a multitude of 5000 men and their families. Interestingly, this question of insignificance—what can a small contribution really achieve?—resonates with the challenges we face today when asked to donate to various causes.

We often find ourselves questioning the impact of our actions. What difference will our gala ticket or the few dollars we put in the collection basket truly make? Yet, it is essential to recognize that even from our meager resources, we possess the ability to accomplish remarkable feats through the power of Christ's presence.

For countless years, St Patrick's Church has actively engaged in community action initiatives, providing assistance to those in need. In alignment with the spirit of the young boy's selfless act, our new parish building aims to embody his example by presenting a source of nourishment in the form of food for all who seek it.

Feeds you in Body
Our church is committed to nourishing not only our spirits but also our bodies through our dedicated community efforts. For years, our vibrant community has actively participated in fundraising and collecting goods to support those less fortunate. However, the limitations of our small building have restricted us to seasonal collections, making it challenging to sustain this vital mission work throughout the year. With the construction of our new church building, we are thrilled to announce that we will have a dedicated space where we can warmly welcome donations and efficiently distribute them to those in need. Our new build will enable us to expand our outreach efforts, ensuring that we can provide nourishment and support to our community consistently and effectively.
Feeds you in Mind
St Patrick's Church is dedicated to nourishing the minds of young people within its faith community, offering study sessions, tutoring services, and catechesis to foster intellectual growth and understanding. With the study library in our new building, the church provides a dedicated space for young individuals to expand their knowledge and engage in independent learning, emphasizing the importance of intellectual development and equipping them with the tools they need to succeed academically and spiritually.
