FIRST COMMUNION preparations consist of Sunday Mass, Parents' Meetings, and at-home activities

The Registration Period has now closed.
Please consult the schedule sheet for the preparations.

Families should now be working through the Parents' Learning Component from Session 2.

NEXT SESSION FOR FAMILIES:
Saturday 24 February 2024
OL / FM / OS: 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
SP / HS / AB: 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

It is highly recommended that children preparing for First Communion take advantage of our Children's Liturgy of the Word on Sundays.

   

CONFIRMATION preparations consist of Sunday Mass, Candidates' Meetings

The Registration Period has now closed.
Please consult the schedule sheet for the preparation.

Families should now be working on the work assigned from Session 3.
This work should be completed in time for Session 4.
The completed hand-out package should be with the Candidates at Session 4.
 

NEXT SESSION FOR CANDIDATES:
Saturday 2 March 2024
SP / HS / AB: 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
OL / FM / OS: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Confirmation candidates are highly encouraged to join the Saint Patrick's Youth Group and its activities.

First Communion
In the Archdiocese of Toronto, children in Grade 2 and older are eligible to begin celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation and to the receive Communion. We welcome the children to the Eucharistic Table to receive Our Lord for the first of hopefully many times. The preparation takes place through the Parish, working with the families and our Catholic Schools. The celebrations are held at the Parish where the family worships on Sundays, regardless of the Parish to which the child’s school is attached.

Confirmation
Young people in Grade 7 and older are eligible to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. In this Sacrament, the Baptized are strengthened with a renewed sense of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in their lives. The preparation takes place through the Parish, working with the families and our Catholic Schools. The celebrations are held at the Parish where the family worships on Sundays, regardless of the Parish to which the child’s school is attached.
