REGISTRATIONS FOR THE SACRAMENTS HAVE NOW CLOSED.
The registration deadline was Sunday 13 October 2024,
with a grace period that lasted until end of day on Sunday 20 October 2024.

If you have concerns about registrations for the Sacraments,
please speak to one of the priests after Sunday Mass.


FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATIONS consist of attendance at Sunday Mass, parents' meetings, and at-home activities.
Families with children preparing for first Communion are highly encouraged to take advantage of the Children's Liturgy of the Word at our parish.

Families should now be slowly working through the Eucharist book.

The vast majority of families should have already had their meeting with the priest.
Some families are slated to have their meetings still; while others await instructions on booking a meeting.

SESSION 2 FOR FIRST COMMUNION FAMILIES IS ON
SATURDAY 25 JANUARY 2025.
There is the morning session at 10:00 a.m. for families from OL, FM, and OS.
There is the evening session at 6:00 p.m (following the 5:00 p.m. Mass) for families from SP, HS, and AB.
If you cannot attend the meeting for your school group, you may attend the other meeting.
Sessions are for the first Communion children accompanied by at least one parent.

 

CONFIRMATION PREPARATIONS consist of attendance at Sunday Mass, and candidates' meetings.
Young people preparing for Confirmation are highly encouraged to participate in the activities of the Saint Patrick's Youth Ministry

The vast majority of families should have already had their meeting with the priest.
Some families are slated to have their meetings still; while others await instructions on booking a meeting.

SESSION 4 FOR CONFIRMATION CANDIDATES IS ON
SATURDAY 11 JANUARY 2025.
There is the afternoon session at 2:30 p.m. for students from OL, FM, and OS.
There is the evening session at 6:00 p.m (following the 5:00 p.m. Mass) for students from SP, HS, and AB.
If you cannot attend the meeting for your school group, you may attend the other meeting.
Sessions are mainly for the Candidates. Parents are welcome to stay and observe.

All the work assigned from Session 3 (and previous Sessions) should be completed and ready to be checked/submitted at Session 4.

First Communion
In the Archdiocese of Toronto, children in Grade 2 and older are eligible to begin celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation and to the receive Communion. We welcome the children to the Eucharistic Table to receive Our Lord for the first of hopefully many times. The preparation takes place through the Parish, working with the families and our Catholic Schools. The celebrations are held at the Parish where the family worships on Sundays, regardless of the Parish to which the child’s school is attached.

Confirmation
Young people in Grade 7 and older are eligible to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. In this Sacrament, the Baptized are strengthened with a renewed sense of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in their lives. The preparation takes place through the Parish, working with the families and our Catholic Schools. The celebrations are held at the Parish where the family worships on Sundays, regardless of the Parish to which the child’s school is attached.
