Update on the New Church project

In a letter dated 12 September 2025, Monsignor Owen Keenan provided parishioners and friends with a status update on the project of building the new church. You may read the letter by clicking here, where you will also have the option to download a PDF copy of it.

In the letter, Monsignor Owen acknowledged the lack of update for the past few months but assured all that "we have not 'pressed pause' or put anything on hold. We are moving forward." He also issued some calls to action as a challenge for the community:

1. Honestly and prayerfully reflect on what each has contributed (and is contributing) to the project thus far, and consider if additional efforts are possible.
2. Pray to God for the project: specifically, to invoke the intercession of Saint Joseph by means of the 30-Day Novena of the Holy Cloak from 23 September to 23 October, leading up to the day of the Loaves and Fishes Gala.
3. Consider attending the 2025 Loaves and Fishes Gala, or supporting the event in some way as a Sponsor, an Advertiser, or by means of an in-kind donation.

Monsignor Owen reminded all that "we are building a dream: the dream of a new home for generations to come." He added that, first, "God will not be outdone in generosity," and that, secondly, "what each of us does - each according to his or her own ability and capacty - will be repaid one hundred-fold."
