FOR STUDENTS
IN GRADE 7+

 

It is common practice in the Archdiocese of Toronto that children in Grade 2 become eligible for First Communion and those in Grade 7 become eligible for Confirmation. Families are also reminded that the Sacraments should be celebrated at the parish church that they regularly attend on Sundays, regardless of which parish their child’s school is connected.

Families with children in Grade 2 or 7 (or older children who have yet to receive these Sacraments), are asked to prepare a copy of the children’s Baptism certificate, available from the church where they were baptized. This will be a requirement for the upcoming registrations. Families with children baptized here at Saint Patrick’s, Wildfield do not need to provide a copy of the certificate.

If you missed the information meetings this past week, we invite you to attend Sunday Mass and speak to one of our priests after the Mass.

FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATIONS consist of attendance at Sunday Mass, parents' meetings, and at-home activities.
Families with children preparing for first Communion are highly encouraged to take advantage of the Children's Liturgy of the Word at our parish.

REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN!

Completed registration forms and other requirements can be handed in after Sunday Mass or during Office Hours up to and including Sunday 11 October 2026.

 

 

 

 

 

CONFIRMATION PREPARATIONS consist of attendance at Sunday Mass, and candidates' meetings.
Young people preparing for Confirmation are highly encouraged to participate in the activities of the Saint Patrick's Youth Ministry.

REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN!

In the Archdiocese of Toronto, children in Grade 2 and older are eligible to begin celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation and to the receive Communion. We welcome the children to the Eucharistic Table to receive Our Lord for the first of hopefully many times. The preparation takes place through the Parish, working with the families and our Catholic Schools. The celebrations are held at the Parish where the family worships on Sundays, regardless of the Parish to which the child’s school is attached.

Confirmation

In this Sacrament, the Baptized are strengthened with a renewed sense of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
