Father Vito: One Year Later

There were a number of events that marked the occasion of the first anniversary of the passing of Father Vito.

On the eve of the anniversary, a candle-lit rosary was prayed with people braving the cold, wind, dark winter's night of 11 February 2023 to gather at the site of his grave at Saint Patick's in Wildfield. While the candles could not keep aflame due to the wind, the fire of faith and hope kindled in the hearts and minds of those who participated in the prayer.

The anniversary Memorial Mass was celebrated on 12 February 2023 at Saint Clare of Assisi in Woodbridge. The church that hosted the funeral would be able to accomodate a great number of people especially as the restrictions of the COVID-19 Pandemic had been lifted. The Mass, presided over by Mosignor Owen Keenan (now Pastor of Saint Patrick's, Wildfield), was also live streamed to reach an even greater number of people.
